"...so i am 99% sure I ate cat haha".......Week 19

So I'm down to my last week here. I'm getting pretty anxious because there is still so much to do here. But I trust elder Kamauu to take care of it!

Monday: On monday right after emailing we went bowling with sis thomas and sister bigley. Sis thomas is like at least 200 years old and she killed me in bowling! she scored a 157 and i scored a 47 haha its because she wouldnt let me use bumpers she said it is "cheating" so my normal technique of palming the ball spinning around and chucking it didnt do to good for me this time. At bible study that night sis jackson made me all me favorite food! rolls and fried chicken and dirt cake (its the best cake ever) (except for costco lemon cake).
Tuesday: we went up to the ugly and knocked on a former investigators door she answered and invited us in. we taught her the restoration and about the book of mormon and commited her to read it. the lesson went great and then she started telling us about all her hardships and stuff and we were able to help her and turn her back to Jesus Christ and the scriptures. We had a interesting experience today haha we went over to sister vannaters and she answered and said oh im so glad you came your not gonna believe what i have cooked for you! ( keep in mind she is like 90 and eats anything she finds dead on the side of the road) so we were pretty nervous haha. she had us try to guess what she had cooked so we said deer? squirel? racoon? bird? beef? (we were really hopeing for that one) but every time we guessed she would just laugh and say oh no no no, not that! so we braced ourselves and said dog??? and she said ohhhh close! so with dread we said cat? and she started laughing super hard and didnt say anything so we asked again we were like is it a cat?! and she wouldnt answer she just kept laughing! so i am 99% sure i ate cat haha. later that afternoon we played with and taught the nisbet kids it was fun. and then we went and we taught eric and kim. we tried to bring up the w.o.w. but they said we know we know and dont push it! so we will keep working on that.
On wednesday we had a lot of our appointments fall through so we did a lot of tracting and stuff but later that night we went to help brother stevens move some stuff at the church and it ended up being first theses giant cabinents so he and elder kamauu took one end and i took the other and man they were heavy! it felt like that book shelf we moved in at home! and my hands were sweaty (like always) and it felt like my arms were gonna tear off but we got it! then we had to move these giant slabs of 4 inch thick wood that were like 10ft by 6 ft and so elder kamauu and brother stevens grabbed one and struggled to get it out and while they were gone i picked one up to see how heavy it was and started carying one out there was like 20 slabs and i am crazy sore now haha.
Thursday: i honestly cant remember anything about thursday... we weekly planned and correlated and i know we taught 3 lessons but im completley blanking! so  ya
Friday: we taught brittney and ron and eric and kim and ranae and dillon. we felt really good about how the lessons went eric and kim are almost there they just gotta quite smoking! ron and brittney is a hard situation cause brittney would love to come to church and be baptized but ron wont allow it.he likes us and likes having us over but he doesnt want his girlfriend brittney to do this stuff cause it changes a lot for him. and ranae is doing good she just got a job so its hard to catch her home but she is slowly comming to a knowledge of what we have taught. that night we went over to the jacksons for dinner and game night it was fun and like braelyn always says i never lose at card games so everyone by the end of the night was sure i had been cheating haha and to be honest i did one game but i had to keep the winning streak! i told them all after though haha.
Saturday: on saturday we moved the senators into their apartment since they were kicked out of the tralior by an angry sister. it took us a while but it  was a good thing to do and there isn't anyone in the elders quorum under the age of 57 haha so they needed us. and only one guy from the elders quorum could make it so it was us brother stevens and the morgans. then we went and set up the church for the womans broadcast ( we are the technicians for the branch) and then we went and saw clell peyton and he took us out to eat and i decided to be healthy and get a small salad since we had just eaten lunch at 3 and it was only 4. but he said now white you better get more honey i dont want you grumbling tonight around 9 saying i didnt feed you enough and i was like i am fine! and so he ordered me 3 chilli dogs and some chicken liver and fries haha i was soooooo full! then we went over to the rowleys and there was this 6 year old kid sitting in the yard that i had never seen there so i asked if ryan or johnathan were home and he said i am home so i asked again and he said i am home! and then when i was closer i realized it was ryan he had cut his hair and looked like a baby! he is 12 but he looked 6 haha. but he was out in the yard and had his forge going( his was way cooler then mine haha) but he had this forge with a hair dryer blowing air into the bottom and it was crazy he was putting chunks of alluminum in and melting them down and he was pouring them into molds he made in sand and making slingshots and swords and stuff this kid is a genious! anyways we were there for a little and got a call from the church building and it was sister vannater and she said hello elder white umm so you left a note on the computer saying just refresh the page and the video will start playing... what does refresh mean? so i tried to explain it to her but she wasnt getting it so we went down and there was like 15 ladys from the relief society there including sister morgan and none of them new how to refesh a page and none of them have cell phones even! they are all over 60 though so i will give them a break haha. but we were getting it to play and sister morgan came up and said you guys have to stay we need to have priesthood here to do this so we had to stay and watch it and it was really awesome!
Sunday: on sunday we had to have church in the relief society room since the chapel was under construction we had fast and testimony meeting since conference and i was able to bear my testimony for the last time here. brother toney came up to me later on and said i was gonna get you this shirt yesterday that said "i would flex but i like this shirt" but they only had it in small he thought it was super funny haha. i was talking to the young men and they were saying how they didnt want me to go because i was the first missionary that they could connect with and that when i taught them they actually understood. i guess i owe that to my dad since i just taught them like he taught me haha. so i may have thrown some stories of super powers and what not in but ya.... after church everyone wanted to go outside and get a picture with me before i left so we did a picture with the whole branch. sis thomas said i had to come by her house cause she made me some apple butter biscuits which are the best thing ever! and when we got there she showed me a picture of her granddaughter and said that if i came back and married her she would cook apple butter biscuits for me every day haha. and i would set a record in west Virginia of first marriage where the people aren't cousins! or brother and sisters... haha
anyway it was a good week and next time i email you ill be in australia! my flight plan got changed though now i fly to chicago and stay there for 3 hours then i fly to L.A and stay there for 7 hours then i fly to aukland new zeland and stay there for 3 hours then i fly to sydney and stay there for 19 months then i fly to arizona! but i might get a extension so maybe not. they changed it cause there is a sister flying there to and she needed help and someone with her so i am gonna help her with all that stuff.
love you all!

"...go to Australia I shall......" Week 18

Hellooooo everyone! So I'm down to 14 days until I head to Australia and the people here have me thoroughly convinced I'm gonna die from a snake bite within a month haha. The members are all saying I just should stay and Momma Jane even tried marrying me off haha. But go to Australia I shall and I'm gonna box a kangaroo so I'll send you all the video!

So Monday through Tuesday nothing really happened, just a lot of finding and walking cause appointments fell through. On Wednesday we went over to Eric and Kims' and she brought up some of her deep concerns and we both just looked at each other and were like what do we say??? So I said a little prayer in my heart and started talking.  I knew all the facts to her question and scriptures to prove it and all these things, but we knew in our heart that now wasn't the time for that so we told her that we could try to persuade her or prove it with scripture, but we don't want you to take our word for it we want you to ask God and take His word for it.  And then we both bore our testimony to her and commited her to really read and ponder and pray. As we left we had mixed feelings but we knew we had listened.

Later on wednesday we went out and saw the Senators, melissa(the mom) pulled me aside and told me some of the struggles she was having with her 12 year old son mickey and it pretty much mirrored the same things I went through so later I pulled him aside and asked him how everything was going. He told me about the things he was strugling with and the mixed feelings he had about moving and I told him I struggled with some of the same things and was able to help him out a little.  I love that kid! I'm really gonna miss this area. I have like 4 sets of grandma and grandpas now oout here haha! They aren't nearly as good as my grandma and grandpa White and Petersen though! I love you grandmas and grandpas!

So last week we talked about the Baker family.  They are the ones we were led to by the Spirit last week and we were able to teach the restoration to the dad and daughter. Well bad news.... we went back on thursday to see them and it was funny because last time we were there we said we would bring her slim jims and we knocked on the door this time and Hailey the 14 year old daughter answered the door and said, so where are my slim jims? jokingly and I whipped out a pack and she was like no way you actually remembered!! It was funny but she let us in and we went to the kitchen and started chatting with her and her dad and they had read the book of mormon and loved it and felt that it was all true and me and Elder Kamauu were so excited and then they said but sadly you guys cant come over anymore.... and we were just kinda shocked and I asked if there was a reason and he said his wife was baptist and didn't want us in her home again and she said they couldn't see us anymore so we left and it was pretty rough.  The dad was almost in tears cause he really did want to learn. So the rest of the day was just kinda a downer. All of our appointments except for one with a less active fell through so we did some more walking haha.

So Friday was a good day we saw our investigator Clell Peyton and comforted him cause his daughter had just passed away. Then we went to Jeremey's and had an interesting time there. I wont go into detail but some things came up and we had to work through some things but he is still all good and doing great. After we went over to the Jacksons for a birthday and some food. It was fun and we had a good time. After we went and tried to see the Haneys, the kids were not home but the mom was so we talked to her on the porch for a little and told her how well she had rasied her kids and how she was doing a lot of good for them and I asked her were she saw all this going, what her end goal was and she said she wanted her and her kids to come closer to God.  I asked if they had been reading the book of mormon and she said honestly no I'm still not quuite sure about it but I'm still praying about it. We both bore our testimony of the importance of not only praying but reading and bore our testimony of the Savior and she started crying and said she would read and pray and that she felt good about what we have taught and then she started bawling and told us how hard it has been for her with her husband in jail and raising the kids on her own and how everyone makes fun of her and her kids cause they live in a shed and a lot of things and we were able to comfort her and read some scriptures and it was a great meeting with her.

On Saturday Elder Christoferson of the quorum of the 12 apostles came and spoke to all the missionaries. Before the meeting started he wanted to shake everyones hand. As I went up and shook his hand he lookd at me and I said I'm elder white from gilbert arizona and he said its nice to meet you and I went blank and just smiled and he said good luck in australia and I said thankyou and had to move along haha.  But as I was sitting down I realized that I hadn't told him I was going to australia and I asked president later that day if he had told him and he said he hadnt so that was a really cool experience for me. It was a great meeting though.  I got a lot from it.   Later that day we played with the kids ( the twins and bailey) they are not members and we play with them then teach them so today I showed them how to make catapults with shoe boxes and then we played with those for a bit then they wanted bow and arrows so I made them some (with rubber bands and sticks) and they all tried to shoot me haha. Then we taught some of the scripture stories and about Jesus Christ. Later that night we went and saw Eric and kKm and they had their son over he is 12 and so we visted for a little then Eric started asking questions about the second coming and we answered a couple of them and all the sudden their son just starts crying and sobbing and we were like whats wrong? and he was just really scared for it all and wants to start comming to church with eric and kim haha.

So on Sunday I confirmed jeremey a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints and gave him the gift of the Holy Ghost and gave him a blessing. It was a cool experience for me and I'm happy I was here to do it. Kim came up to us after sacrament meeting and said she had been thinking a lot about what we said and reading and praying and she knows it's all true and tha the priesthood is back and that there are prophets again and she said she was ready to be baptized. It was awesome and we are gonna work with her to get her ready for it! After church we went to Clell Peyton's daughters funeral and there was like 200 people there cause he is a very influential man in Logan and he said we were his sons and hugged me and had us sit in the front with him and his wife. He is a great man and I'm gonna miss him too. Later we went and saw the Rowleys and she is having a really hard time with her kids right now. She leaves for work before they leave for school so they have just decided to stop going to school and they go like once a week now for the past couple months. We are worried about them but dont know how to help.

It'ss been a crazy week and a good week and I'm loving serving a mission.  I hope you all are doing good and love you all!

"....we just relied on the spirit...and once again it made all the difference." Week 17

Hello everyone this has been a awesome week! Lots of cool things have happened and we had a baptism, so all in all it was awesome!

Tuesday: Well I'm gonna start going into less detail on some things cause I keep on running out of time! But on Tuesday we saw Jeremey and went over the baptismal question with him and it was great.  Then we went and saw some other big ugly people ( big ugly is a place) and went to the church around 5 and played with the kids and their friends they brought.  Then we taught a lesson and it went super awesome.  They love coming and as they tell more kids about it they are wanting to come too! Later that night we saw Eric and Kim and we taught the gospel of Jesus Christ. We were able to bring up some concerns they had and address them so it was a really solid lesson.

Wednesday; I WOKE UP FEELING SUPER SICK  but we still went out and did what we had planned and it all went well.  It was a lot of seeing less actives and tracting cause appointments fell through. Then we had mutal and everyone made these peanut butter eggs they are selling so they can go on their trip this summer.  It was fun.

Thursday: Still woke up sick this morning but I kept on moving.  Today was absolutely amazing and completely mission changing. like mind blowing. Me and Elder Kamauu got a call from president, like on Monday I think, and he asked us to come to this special meeting in the mission office where a church official was gonna come to talk to us. So we had no idea what to excpect or why we were going, but we went and there were like 20 other missionaries there and they were all zone leaders and stuff so we had no clue why we were there.  And the man that was there to speak to us was sent by Elder Bednar to present to us a new way of teaching. And after they showed us we all just couldn't stop smiling.  It was so simple and so awesome and it only lasts like 10 minutes instead of like 30 to 40 min. And it makes the spirit the teacher and has the investigator get engaged and do the talking, we just guide them through the process. I would try to explain it but it would be impossible! just know my mission has just done a 180 for the better!

Friday: Ya I'm still sick today. Today we had zone meeting and they basically just covered what I learned the day before in the special meeting except not nearly as well! I wish everyone had been able to go to that meeting cause it was just so awesome. So Kim had her baby today! We went and saw her and she is soooo cute and I wanted to hold her so bad but alas I'm a missionary and can't... maybe in 2 years I'll come back haha. We went and saw Jeremy again and went over the questions again and helped him with whatever he needed.  We are so excited for him to be baptized this Sunday! Then we went to the Haneys and last night we literally practiced what we learned on Thursday for like 2 hours, just role playing it  over and over. And when we got to the Haneys, last week we had taught them the plan of salvation in a 40 min super detailed using tons of scrips and proving everything way, and as we were talking to them we realized they got nothing out of it.  So we taught it again using the new way we had learned and we couldn't stop looking at each other in like shock at the difference. They were engaged and understood and had truths testified to them that we didn't even bring up.  It was incredible! I realize now why.  Before we were teaching to prove our knowledge.  We were throwing out all the doctrine and really being just prideful and not letting the spirit teach. With this new way we hardly talk and the spirit takes over and it is absolutely incredible! I am so happy we got to go to that meeting!

Saturday: Still feeling sick and have thrown up last night but I'm not contagious so we went out. We started off with breakfast at Momma Janes and it was as always delicious! We went after and picked up the district leader and took him to Jeremeys and he interviewed him for his baptism tomorrow and he is good to go! We are so excited for him! We went over to the Haneys next and taught the restoration again using the new way and it brought up a big concern of theirs, and that is the book of Mormon.  We were able to testify of it and commit them to read it by just saying to ask god, and bearing our testimonies. We didn't try to convince them with facts and all that, we just relied on the spirit as we have been shown to do and once again it made all the difference.

Sunday: I was feeling awful this morning but we had a baptism so there was no way I was letting it get me down. The baptism was really cool. I had the opportunity to do it and as he came up he just kept saying wow! haha. And as we were changing he said he was a brand new him. He could feel the change and it was such a cool experience. After church we went out tracting and had a really cool experience. We had planned to tract in this holler called Mitchel heights but as we were approaching it I felt like we should keep going and so we did and we drove like 8 miles and we both felt we should turn into this random holler, so we did and started driving up it and like 2 miles in we felt we needed to turn around.  So we listened to the spirit and turned around and got all the way to the beginning of the holler again and felt we needed to stop here. So we stopped, got out, and started walking. We walked past a couple houses cause they didn't feel right, then we saw a man working on his truck.  We both knew in a instant he was the person we were looking for so we walked over and started talking to him and I started throwing around old car guy slang like I knew something, and he got a good laugh out of that cause I was talking about a like formula one car cause that's what I heard elder clawson say, and his truck was some old dinky thing so it was just funny to him.  Anyways we asked if we could have a couple mimutes and share our message with him. He said sure and brought us inside. His 13 year old daughter came in and sat down with him and his wife was asleep so we just taught those two and  once again we taught the restoration the new way and man the spirit was so strong and they even agreed to be baptized! Our testimonies in this new way of teaching are just so strong now! And as we're leaving he said, you know I haven't prayed in a long time but I did this morning and asked God to help me straighten out my life, so thank you. I'm so glad we were able to listen to the spirit and be in the right place at the right time.

It's been a great week and I can't imagine a place I would rather be.

"...call out to Jesus Christ and ask and pray for help...." Week 16

So this week has been a great one and I have loved it! I'm getting more and more worried with how soon I have to leave though! But I know it's what I gotta do.  I'm probably gonna set a record for the longest missionary transfer haha.

Monday: Today was just a normal pday but I was texting Eric and Kim throughout the day and this is a pretty cool message they sent us. " thankyou for all your generosity and thoughtfulness. you are like a family that I have never had, a family that everyone should have. we are very grateful to have God give us the opportunity for our lives to cross paths" That is the English way to say that.  This is what they actually typed though haha " ty yal 4 ur generosity and thautfullnes u r like a family that I aint never had a family that everyone should have we r very gratefull 2 have God give us tha opurtunity 4 r lives 2 cross paths" Haha we gotta translate some of the messages we get!

Tuesday: Today we started with an hour of morg (Mormon. org/ family history stuff)  but I didn't get to do anything because this guy next to us started talking to me and we talked for the whole hour, and we are going over there tomorrow now haha. Today was brother Peytons birthday he is an older man, like he is 80 now, so he is coming along but he isn't a member and all that yet.  But we went over and I had gotten him a book with scriptures from the Bible and I had written a letter with my testimony in it and he appreciated it. Then we went and did some service for the relief society at the church just setting up for stuff haha. There may not be many of them but they decorate like the prophet is coming haha.  And since they are all old we are their slaves haha. I love doing it though! Then Sis Nisbet came up to us and she has 3 grandchildren that are not members that are younger like 8,8,and 10, and she asked if we would play with them and be friends with them so they will want to come to church. So we spent a hour or so playing with them at the church and I did some of my magic tricks and we just played games and it was super fun! It made me feel like I was back home. Later that night President Salisbury called and asked if he could share my email using my name and all that with the mission.  He said he knew it's not what he usually does but that it was inspiring, so I said ya no problem president, and we talkled for a while then he had to go. And after he hung up I really wanted to go and see what I had said because I couldn't remember haha.

Wednesday: Wednesday was crazy! It rained and rained and rained and when that happens here the city floods and all the roads flood and bridges get knocked over and it's just crazy! They build everything right next to rivers so it's their fault, but all the rain comes right down the hills and feeds into the creek! So we had some fun working our way through floods and all that. We were going through this one flood and I had the window down to watch the water while we went through it, and this one person came flying around the corner and slammed into the water and sent a tidal wave through my window haha.  It was so funny I got drenched though! We saw Eric and Kim.  We brought them some mcnuggets and talked to them for a minute or so and Eric started puking so we weren't able to teach a lesson. Then we went and saw Ron and Brit and talked to her more about word of wisdom and commited them to read as a family. Then we went out to the Senators and as we were going down the holler we came up to a lake and we were contemplating driving through it, so I got out and was instantly drenched from the rain, but I thew a pretty big rock into the middle and it went thwuump so it was pretty dang deep.  And then this big lifted truck came and saw it, backed up and tried to gun it through, and it ended up being like 6 feet deep and it swept his truck off the road and so we went and I ran out there and helped him get out of the truck and he was just laughing.  It was this like 60 year old guy, so like my dads age haha, and he was just like "ohh dernt werry bout er she gots the perrrer but ill get er morrow" so we just let him be and we took this dirt road like a quarter mile back that the city made for when that place floods to get around it, I don't know why he didn't use it but it was a pretty funny situation. I got a lot of clothes to wash though haha. So we got to the Senators and I was talking to Mickey and trying to figure out why he wants to serve a mission and all the sudden  he said it's because of us, so that was pretty neat. He is coming out with us for the day on Saturday.  We called president since he is only 13 and got it approved.

Thursday: So Wednesday night we got 7 inches of snow on top of all the flooding, so everything was icy and covered in snow, but it was district meeting so we got in the Morgans car at 7 and braved it.  No one clears the roads out here so we were taking it really slow.  We got through some flooded areas and then like an hour away we got to a puddle where we couldn't see the end of it, it was like over a hundred yards and then wrapped around a corner and there was a warning do not enter sign so we took it as a hint and just went back! We weekly planned, then went and saw Ranae and at the end of our lesson we still felt like something was off, so we asked questions and eventually found out that she felt the church was sexist and so we were able to address that concern and it went well. Later that night we had coordination meetings with the Morgans cause everyone else was stuck in their hollers.

Friday: We shoveled snow for a while in the morning and while we were shoveling Robin's she came out and we had a nice discussion with her for about an hour, and then we tracted from 12pm to 9pm but we weren't able to teach anyone.

Saturday: Saturday was awesome.  We went and picked up Mickey at like 8:30 and took him to breakfast at Momma Janes he loved it haha. It's so delicious. Then we went and we taught Jeremey toney about the laws and ordinances of the gospel.  Mickey was super interested and participated a little even. Then something hilarious happened.  Jeremey has this old airsoft pistol that is completlry broken but it looks like a real gun, and all the sudden after our lesson he grabbed it and pointed it at Elder Kamauu, and Elder Kamauu thought it was a real gun and he just froze and the color drained from his face and I am doing all I can to not start laughing, and then Jeremey cocked it and pulled the trigger. It was like pop! and Elder Kamauu yelped and flinched so hard then he realized it was just an airsoft gun and stated laughing haha. We went to the Workmans and then we went to the Haneys and taught a great plan of salvation lesson.  They have such great questions.  The mom was super interested in the spirit prison and paradise and the 3 kingdoms of heaven and all that.  It was a cool lesson and after I raced Joe, the 15 year old boy, and Mickey up this crazy steep hill and smoked them without even getting muddy.  Then they wanted to race down and that was another story.  We started to race down and Joe slipped and took out my legs and we hit Mickey so we all tumbled down this hill for like a hundred feet to the bottom and that time I didn't escape the mud, but luckily it was a little on my hiney and we washed off with a wet towel by the creek.  It was fun though. Then we went out and taught Mickey's aunt for the first time. We are excited to start teaching her.  She is actually his great aunt so she is old too of course, but she is awesome.  Then we went and made scones for the Senators and me and Mickey taught the plan of salvation together to them because he said he needed to practice that one for his mission.

Sunday: We only had 3 investigators at church this week but it was still awesome.  The little kids showed up too and after sacrament meeting they came up to me and told me how their week went and stuff and I showed them another magic trick I had gotten from the dollar store.  It was a pretty sweet one haha. But next sunday is Jeremey's baptism and I am super excited for that.  He wants me to baptize him. He says I'm his older brother now and that I gotta look out for him even though he is older than me haha. Oh and we lost an hour of sleep last night to cause it was spring forward, so Saturday night we had to set our clocks an hour ahead so at 10 before we went to bed we set it forward. We tracted after church though with little success for about an hour, then we went over to the Rowleys and then had dinner with the Morgans.  Afterwards we went with them to Ron and Brit's place and we taught them a little and I shared the story from Mathew about Peter walking on the water and related it to her having the faith to try to quite smoking, and that when she gets afraid or has a week moment like Peter did, that as she is beginning to sink if she will call out to Jesus Christ and ask and pray for help that he will help her immediately like he did Peter.  The sprit was strong there and we also committed them to pray as a family each night. We got back at 9:28 so just in time! Oh and a funny story there.  Her niece was over, she is 3 and ways 90 pounds, but anyways she is so cute and funny and she was convinced I was Jesus haha.  She kept on singing to me and when they finally told her I wasn't Jesus she said, well he sure looks like him! and walked away. It was pretty funny. And when elder Morgan was giving the closing prayer she was singing all the words he said really quietly next to me.  It was so hard not to just burst out laughing!

But yep this was my week and I forgot to bring my camera so there will be lots of pics next week! sorry!

love you all

"I just felt so much love for them......" Week 15

Hey everyone, this week was awesome! We had some amazing things happen!
Thursday: Thursday was my first time getting a new companion! It wasn't scary really but it definitely made me nervous! So my new companion is Elder Kamauu.  He is hawaiin and pretty sweet. We get along awesome and he is an obedient and hard working missionary so I'm excited for my last transfer here. We had a pretty awesome experience that night.  We went to cordination meeting and we set this units goals for baptisms and saves this year. So I started making a list of everyone we know who could be baptized in the comming months and there are 21 investigators I feel could be baptized.  It was cool to see it written down. I'm so happy for the progress I have been able to see in this area. We have been doing what Preach my Gospel teaches to do, and that is find teach and baptize.  We got the find and teach part and I think that we will see many baptisms come out of Logan! Elder Kamauu didn't even know what to say when he saw how many lessons we teach here and the investigators we have so he is super pumped!
Friday: We set up and attended a funeral for a member of the branch today.  It was sad but happy. Me and the Morgans and Elder Kamauu sang Abide with me tis even tide and it was nice I guess.  I had to start us off so that was scary cause we didn't have anyone playing the piano. We went over to Eric and Kim's after but they had to go to the hospital because she was having contractions and stuff.  I don't really know about babies but I think she might have it soon haha. Then we went over to Ron and Brittney's and we talked and taught the gospel of Jesus Christ and then commited her to follow the word of wisdom ( ron wouldn't).  It is kinda scary bringing things like that up to someone who has been smoking for so long, but as we trust in the spirit and teach with power that fear goes away.  I just try to focus on how much it will help them. And then we commited them to church and both of them said they would come finally! After that we went to the big ugly auction and bought a gallon of tide laundry detergent for 6 bucks haha.  That is a missionaries dream!
Saturday: So we woke up Saturday, did our morning stuff, got in the car to go to Momma Janes for breakfast and realized we had nooooo miles left so we were kinda stuck. So we wallked down to Ron and Brit's to talk to them a little and we just shared a spiritual thought since they had to leave soon. Then we walked to Ranae Kinser's house and we taught her and it went well.  We taught about the Parables of Christ because she had some questions about them.  Then we set it up so next time we will teach her the plan of salvation. Then we walked around Logan and talked to people and invited them to learn and all that. After we went to Sis Nisbets house because she hasn't been coming lately and we resolved some concerns with her and it was a great experience.  She said she needed to come back to church. We love everyone in this branch, they are awesome. Afterwards we went to the Senators and waited for chris to show up and we taught them some parables of Christ also. We committed Chris to come to church tomorrow. That evening we still hadn't heard from Jeremy so we texted Brother Toney and said he didn't need to go to pick him up in the morning.

Sunday: Sunday morning we got a text from Jeremey saying he wanted to come and that he was getting ready, so we frantically tried to get a hold of Brother Toney but couldn't so we were super bummed out, because no one else could or would get him. So right before church started we had Chris there, Ron and Brittney there, and Brother Toney did get Jeremy so he was there and Brenty was there and Tim was there, so we had 6 investigators at church!  That just  doesnt happen in West Virginia so we were super super stoked! It was a great Sunday and it was fast and testimony meeting so I went up and bore my testimony . As I  was lookking out seeing all of our investigators and the branch members I just felt so much love for them and I have always been a cry baby so I started crying and couldn't stop.  I'm gonna miss this area. After church I was talking to Mickey about going on a mission. I  have gotten an awesome relationship with him and really love him.  2 months ago I had brought it up with him and he was like no way am I going. But now he wants to go and is actually planning on doing it! We are taking him out with us this Saturday.  I'm excited for him, he is such an awesome young man. After church we went and saw Jeremey and we taught the commandments to him.  It was cool to see him at church.  Everyone he talked to he would say, do you know whats on march 15? my baptism!! He is super excited and we are too. After we went to the Haneys and taught them a little more detail about the restoration since we didn't have enough time for the plan of salvation. It was like 6 pm now and we were ready to end our fsat so we went back home and over to the Morgans for dinner at 7, and we had Ron and Brit over for dinner which was awesome, but Ron wanted to fix something underneath the apartment and we didn't want to be rude and eat without him, so we ended up fasting for 26 hours haha.  I  was definitely ready to eat! But it was really cool to have them over and we played some games with them and the Morgans and just fellowshiped with them.  Their  little baby Montanna is 6 months old so I played with her a lot cause i miss my twin brothers haha.
We have seen some miricals this week and I love it!
