So I'm down to my last week here. I'm getting pretty anxious because there is still so much to do here. But I trust elder Kamauu to take care of it!

"...go to Australia I shall......" Week 18
Hellooooo everyone! So I'm down to 14 days until I head to Australia and the people here have me thoroughly convinced I'm gonna die from a snake bite within a month haha. The members are all saying I just should stay and Momma Jane even tried marrying me off haha. But go to Australia I shall and I'm gonna box a kangaroo so I'll send you all the video!
So on Sunday I confirmed jeremey a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints and gave him the gift of the Holy Ghost and gave him a blessing. It was a cool experience for me and I'm happy I was here to do it. Kim came up to us after sacrament meeting and said she had been thinking a lot about what we said and reading and praying and she knows it's all true and tha the priesthood is back and that there are prophets again and she said she was ready to be baptized. It was awesome and we are gonna work with her to get her ready for it! After church we went to Clell Peyton's daughters funeral and there was like 200 people there cause he is a very influential man in Logan and he said we were his sons and hugged me and had us sit in the front with him and his wife. He is a great man and I'm gonna miss him too. Later we went and saw the Rowleys and she is having a really hard time with her kids right now. She leaves for work before they leave for school so they have just decided to stop going to school and they go like once a week now for the past couple months. We are worried about them but dont know how to help.
It'ss been a crazy week and a good week and I'm loving serving a mission. I hope you all are doing good and love you all!

"....we just relied on the spirit...and once again it made all the difference." Week 17
Hello everyone this has been a awesome week! Lots of cool things have happened and we had a baptism, so all in all it was awesome!
Tuesday: Well I'm gonna start going into less detail on some things cause I keep on running out of time! But on Tuesday we saw Jeremey and went over the baptismal question with him and it was great. Then we went and saw some other big ugly people ( big ugly is a place) and went to the church around 5 and played with the kids and their friends they brought. Then we taught a lesson and it went super awesome. They love coming and as they tell more kids about it they are wanting to come too! Later that night we saw Eric and Kim and we taught the gospel of Jesus Christ. We were able to bring up some concerns they had and address them so it was a really solid lesson.
Wednesday; I WOKE UP FEELING SUPER SICK but we still went out and did what we had planned and it all went well. It was a lot of seeing less actives and tracting cause appointments fell through. Then we had mutal and everyone made these peanut butter eggs they are selling so they can go on their trip this summer. It was fun.
Thursday: Still woke up sick this morning but I kept on moving. Today was absolutely amazing and completely mission changing. like mind blowing. Me and Elder Kamauu got a call from president, like on Monday I think, and he asked us to come to this special meeting in the mission office where a church official was gonna come to talk to us. So we had no idea what to excpect or why we were going, but we went and there were like 20 other missionaries there and they were all zone leaders and stuff so we had no clue why we were there. And the man that was there to speak to us was sent by Elder Bednar to present to us a new way of teaching. And after they showed us we all just couldn't stop smiling. It was so simple and so awesome and it only lasts like 10 minutes instead of like 30 to 40 min. And it makes the spirit the teacher and has the investigator get engaged and do the talking, we just guide them through the process. I would try to explain it but it would be impossible! just know my mission has just done a 180 for the better!
Friday: Ya I'm still sick today. Today we had zone meeting and they basically just covered what I learned the day before in the special meeting except not nearly as well! I wish everyone had been able to go to that meeting cause it was just so awesome. So Kim had her baby today! We went and saw her and she is soooo cute and I wanted to hold her so bad but alas I'm a missionary and can't... maybe in 2 years I'll come back haha. We went and saw Jeremy again and went over the questions again and helped him with whatever he needed. We are so excited for him to be baptized this Sunday! Then we went to the Haneys and last night we literally practiced what we learned on Thursday for like 2 hours, just role playing it over and over. And when we got to the Haneys, last week we had taught them the plan of salvation in a 40 min super detailed using tons of scrips and proving everything way, and as we were talking to them we realized they got nothing out of it. So we taught it again using the new way we had learned and we couldn't stop looking at each other in like shock at the difference. They were engaged and understood and had truths testified to them that we didn't even bring up. It was incredible! I realize now why. Before we were teaching to prove our knowledge. We were throwing out all the doctrine and really being just prideful and not letting the spirit teach. With this new way we hardly talk and the spirit takes over and it is absolutely incredible! I am so happy we got to go to that meeting!
Saturday: Still feeling sick and have thrown up last night but I'm not contagious so we went out. We started off with breakfast at Momma Janes and it was as always delicious! We went after and picked up the district leader and took him to Jeremeys and he interviewed him for his baptism tomorrow and he is good to go! We are so excited for him! We went over to the Haneys next and taught the restoration again using the new way and it brought up a big concern of theirs, and that is the book of Mormon. We were able to testify of it and commit them to read it by just saying to ask god, and bearing our testimonies. We didn't try to convince them with facts and all that, we just relied on the spirit as we have been shown to do and once again it made all the difference.
Sunday: I was feeling awful this morning but we had a baptism so there was no way I was letting it get me down. The baptism was really cool. I had the opportunity to do it and as he came up he just kept saying wow! haha. And as we were changing he said he was a brand new him. He could feel the change and it was such a cool experience. After church we went out tracting and had a really cool experience. We had planned to tract in this holler called Mitchel heights but as we were approaching it I felt like we should keep going and so we did and we drove like 8 miles and we both felt we should turn into this random holler, so we did and started driving up it and like 2 miles in we felt we needed to turn around. So we listened to the spirit and turned around and got all the way to the beginning of the holler again and felt we needed to stop here. So we stopped, got out, and started walking. We walked past a couple houses cause they didn't feel right, then we saw a man working on his truck. We both knew in a instant he was the person we were looking for so we walked over and started talking to him and I started throwing around old car guy slang like I knew something, and he got a good laugh out of that cause I was talking about a like formula one car cause that's what I heard elder clawson say, and his truck was some old dinky thing so it was just funny to him. Anyways we asked if we could have a couple mimutes and share our message with him. He said sure and brought us inside. His 13 year old daughter came in and sat down with him and his wife was asleep so we just taught those two and once again we taught the restoration the new way and man the spirit was so strong and they even agreed to be baptized! Our testimonies in this new way of teaching are just so strong now! And as we're leaving he said, you know I haven't prayed in a long time but I did this morning and asked God to help me straighten out my life, so thank you. I'm so glad we were able to listen to the spirit and be in the right place at the right time.
It's been a great week and I can't imagine a place I would rather be.

"...call out to Jesus Christ and ask and pray for help...." Week 16
So this week has been a great one and I have loved it! I'm getting more and more worried with how soon I have to leave though! But I know it's what I gotta do. I'm probably gonna set a record for the longest missionary transfer haha.
Monday: Today was just a normal pday but I was texting Eric and Kim throughout the day and this is a pretty cool message they sent us. " thankyou for all your generosity and thoughtfulness. you are like a family that I have never had, a family that everyone should have. we are very grateful to have God give us the opportunity for our lives to cross paths" That is the English way to say that. This is what they actually typed though haha " ty yal 4 ur generosity and thautfullnes u r like a family that I aint never had a family that everyone should have we r very gratefull 2 have God give us tha opurtunity 4 r lives 2 cross paths" Haha we gotta translate some of the messages we get!
Tuesday: Today we started with an hour of morg (Mormon. org/ family history stuff) but I didn't get to do anything because this guy next to us started talking to me and we talked for the whole hour, and we are going over there tomorrow now haha. Today was brother Peytons birthday he is an older man, like he is 80 now, so he is coming along but he isn't a member and all that yet. But we went over and I had gotten him a book with scriptures from the Bible and I had written a letter with my testimony in it and he appreciated it. Then we went and did some service for the relief society at the church just setting up for stuff haha. There may not be many of them but they decorate like the prophet is coming haha. And since they are all old we are their slaves haha. I love doing it though! Then Sis Nisbet came up to us and she has 3 grandchildren that are not members that are younger like 8,8,and 10, and she asked if we would play with them and be friends with them so they will want to come to church. So we spent a hour or so playing with them at the church and I did some of my magic tricks and we just played games and it was super fun! It made me feel like I was back home. Later that night President Salisbury called and asked if he could share my email using my name and all that with the mission. He said he knew it's not what he usually does but that it was inspiring, so I said ya no problem president, and we talkled for a while then he had to go. And after he hung up I really wanted to go and see what I had said because I couldn't remember haha.
Wednesday: Wednesday was crazy! It rained and rained and rained and when that happens here the city floods and all the roads flood and bridges get knocked over and it's just crazy! They build everything right next to rivers so it's their fault, but all the rain comes right down the hills and feeds into the creek! So we had some fun working our way through floods and all that. We were going through this one flood and I had the window down to watch the water while we went through it, and this one person came flying around the corner and slammed into the water and sent a tidal wave through my window haha. It was so funny I got drenched though! We saw Eric and Kim. We brought them some mcnuggets and talked to them for a minute or so and Eric started puking so we weren't able to teach a lesson. Then we went and saw Ron and Brit and talked to her more about word of wisdom and commited them to read as a family. Then we went out to the Senators and as we were going down the holler we came up to a lake and we were contemplating driving through it, so I got out and was instantly drenched from the rain, but I thew a pretty big rock into the middle and it went thwuump so it was pretty dang deep. And then this big lifted truck came and saw it, backed up and tried to gun it through, and it ended up being like 6 feet deep and it swept his truck off the road and so we went and I ran out there and helped him get out of the truck and he was just laughing. It was this like 60 year old guy, so like my dads age haha, and he was just like "ohh dernt werry bout er she gots the perrrer but ill get er morrow" so we just let him be and we took this dirt road like a quarter mile back that the city made for when that place floods to get around it, I don't know why he didn't use it but it was a pretty funny situation. I got a lot of clothes to wash though haha. So we got to the Senators and I was talking to Mickey and trying to figure out why he wants to serve a mission and all the sudden he said it's because of us, so that was pretty neat. He is coming out with us for the day on Saturday. We called president since he is only 13 and got it approved.
Thursday: So Wednesday night we got 7 inches of snow on top of all the flooding, so everything was icy and covered in snow, but it was district meeting so we got in the Morgans car at 7 and braved it. No one clears the roads out here so we were taking it really slow. We got through some flooded areas and then like an hour away we got to a puddle where we couldn't see the end of it, it was like over a hundred yards and then wrapped around a corner and there was a warning do not enter sign so we took it as a hint and just went back! We weekly planned, then went and saw Ranae and at the end of our lesson we still felt like something was off, so we asked questions and eventually found out that she felt the church was sexist and so we were able to address that concern and it went well. Later that night we had coordination meetings with the Morgans cause everyone else was stuck in their hollers.
Friday: We shoveled snow for a while in the morning and while we were shoveling Robin's she came out and we had a nice discussion with her for about an hour, and then we tracted from 12pm to 9pm but we weren't able to teach anyone.
Saturday: Saturday was awesome. We went and picked up Mickey at like 8:30 and took him to breakfast at Momma Janes he loved it haha. It's so delicious. Then we went and we taught Jeremey toney about the laws and ordinances of the gospel. Mickey was super interested and participated a little even. Then something hilarious happened. Jeremey has this old airsoft pistol that is completlry broken but it looks like a real gun, and all the sudden after our lesson he grabbed it and pointed it at Elder Kamauu, and Elder Kamauu thought it was a real gun and he just froze and the color drained from his face and I am doing all I can to not start laughing, and then Jeremey cocked it and pulled the trigger. It was like pop! and Elder Kamauu yelped and flinched so hard then he realized it was just an airsoft gun and stated laughing haha. We went to the Workmans and then we went to the Haneys and taught a great plan of salvation lesson. They have such great questions. The mom was super interested in the spirit prison and paradise and the 3 kingdoms of heaven and all that. It was a cool lesson and after I raced Joe, the 15 year old boy, and Mickey up this crazy steep hill and smoked them without even getting muddy. Then they wanted to race down and that was another story. We started to race down and Joe slipped and took out my legs and we hit Mickey so we all tumbled down this hill for like a hundred feet to the bottom and that time I didn't escape the mud, but luckily it was a little on my hiney and we washed off with a wet towel by the creek. It was fun though. Then we went out and taught Mickey's aunt for the first time. We are excited to start teaching her. She is actually his great aunt so she is old too of course, but she is awesome. Then we went and made scones for the Senators and me and Mickey taught the plan of salvation together to them because he said he needed to practice that one for his mission.
Sunday: We only had 3 investigators at church this week but it was still awesome. The little kids showed up too and after sacrament meeting they came up to me and told me how their week went and stuff and I showed them another magic trick I had gotten from the dollar store. It was a pretty sweet one haha. But next sunday is Jeremey's baptism and I am super excited for that. He wants me to baptize him. He says I'm his older brother now and that I gotta look out for him even though he is older than me haha. Oh and we lost an hour of sleep last night to cause it was spring forward, so Saturday night we had to set our clocks an hour ahead so at 10 before we went to bed we set it forward. We tracted after church though with little success for about an hour, then we went over to the Rowleys and then had dinner with the Morgans. Afterwards we went with them to Ron and Brit's place and we taught them a little and I shared the story from Mathew about Peter walking on the water and related it to her having the faith to try to quite smoking, and that when she gets afraid or has a week moment like Peter did, that as she is beginning to sink if she will call out to Jesus Christ and ask and pray for help that he will help her immediately like he did Peter. The sprit was strong there and we also committed them to pray as a family each night. We got back at 9:28 so just in time! Oh and a funny story there. Her niece was over, she is 3 and ways 90 pounds, but anyways she is so cute and funny and she was convinced I was Jesus haha. She kept on singing to me and when they finally told her I wasn't Jesus she said, well he sure looks like him! and walked away. It was pretty funny. And when elder Morgan was giving the closing prayer she was singing all the words he said really quietly next to me. It was so hard not to just burst out laughing!
But yep this was my week and I forgot to bring my camera so there will be lots of pics next week! sorry!
love you all

"I just felt so much love for them......" Week 15
Hey everyone, this week was awesome! We had some amazing things happen!
Thursday: Thursday was my first time getting a new companion! It wasn't scary really but it definitely made me nervous! So my new companion is Elder Kamauu. He is hawaiin and pretty sweet. We get along awesome and he is an obedient and hard working missionary so I'm excited for my last transfer here. We had a pretty awesome experience that night. We went to cordination meeting and we set this units goals for baptisms and saves this year. So I started making a list of everyone we know who could be baptized in the comming months and there are 21 investigators I feel could be baptized. It was cool to see it written down. I'm so happy for the progress I have been able to see in this area. We have been doing what Preach my Gospel teaches to do, and that is find teach and baptize. We got the find and teach part and I think that we will see many baptisms come out of Logan! Elder Kamauu didn't even know what to say when he saw how many lessons we teach here and the investigators we have so he is super pumped!
