"I hope the gift of tounges covers the gift of hands!"......Week 22

So sadly I have not seen a kangaroo yet...I'm in a place where there are a lot of houses so they kinda stay clear of this area mostly. I did get attacked by a magpie though.  They are so annoying they swoop down and nail you in the back of the head haha.  It doesn't happen super often i just have good luck haha.
So there isn't heaps to tell you all for this week. We have just been trying to find some investigators so I have already worn through my shoes haha they are falling apart!  But it's been fun. It's a lot different here than in west virginia. People here are generally really closed off to talking to missionaries and we havent gotten inside someones home yet. We have been visiting a lot of less active members though and fellowshiping with them and helping them come back to church. There are heaps and heaps of less active members to bring back though! So we are having a district p day today and me and elder loniutenisi have some fun games planned.
I love being on a mission.  It's hard and 6:30 comes really early but I love it. Every morning when the alarm goes off I started jumping out of bed and yelling hoorah for Israel!!!!! and now we all do it haha its a good waker uper thing.
So i mentioned how i am learning sign laungage right? Well I was the interpreter for church this sunday for the sacrament prayers and eventually they want me to interpret the whole sacrament meeting and other classes! I'm picking it up pretty quick so they are focusing on me now. Its so confusing haha. I hope the gift of tounges covers the gift of hands! but its was a cool experience. The deaf members were so gratefull to be able to participate in the sacrament prayer and hear/ see what was being said.
That's really all for this week.  We have been doing heaps of finding and we normaly eat plain oats for brekky but I love it so much here. I am excited to win the trust of the ward. We have a appointment with a potential investigator tommorow so I'm pretty excited! We tried to contact this one family we tracted into but we haven't been able to catch them home. We won't give up though!
love you all

THE PLANE RIDE TO NEW ZEALAND WAS THE HARDEST 13 HOURS OF MY LIFE... Week 21

Helllo everyone! So there is a lot to cover since I havent emailed in 2 weeks!
But sadly I'm short on time.
So before I left we saw heaps of miracles with investigators preparing to be baptized! We have a lot on date back there and I will be keeping in touch with them! But we played a couple pranks on the Morgans for april fools day, like they have this clock on their wall where the numbers are pictures of their family so when they were gone we went in and swapped the pictures with ones of us, they didnt notice though so we had to leave some hints.
THE PLANE RIDE TO NEW ZELAND WAS THE HARDEST 13 HOURS OF MY LIFE. We get on the plane and I'm in between 2 sister missionaries and I had a bad headache cause there was like 20 sisters that showed up and i had to get thier bags and find out where they were going and help them with pass port stuff and keep weird dudes away from them haha. But that was the easy part.  We got on the plane and they announced the movies that would be playing.....ALL THREE OF THE HOBBITS!!!!!!!!!! To be honest if i wasn't in between the sisters i probably would have watched.  The first 2 were easy to get through cause i had seen them but man when the new one came on i almost cried. i would close my eyes but the people around us were all listening to it and i could hear it faintly through their headphones and i just imagined how awesome it must be. i tried to peek a couple times but i would get a sharp elbow slammed into my side by a giant tongan sister that could easily kill me so i was compelled into obedience haha. She even caught me doing the pretend closed eye trick!
So this mission is a lot different then west virginia. It's kinda hard to get used to, it's not the culture of the country but the mission. My area is gonna be a great time but very challinging we have 0 investigators and according to my compam\nion none in the area book are good. And there is a set of elders and sisters in the same area as us so we all cover the same ward and area. its has been a lot of knocking doors and what not. We havent had any sucess yet but its coming. Elder Lewis is my companion and he is awesome he is literally 100% obedient to everything. and he is willing to work. i have high hopes for this area.
I havent seen a kangaroo yet but as soon as i do its going down haha. everyone keeps telling me i cant win but we will see.... i might be comming home with a couple battle scars haha.
Something cool about this area is i have to learn another laungage! I get to learn australian sign laungage. elder lewis can't do it so i am learning and i am picking it up really quick. I have only had one lesson so far and i know the alphabet and the sacrament prayers!
We share the flat with the other elders in ourt area and they are tongan and australian  and elder lonitenisi (the tongan) and I get along really well.  We work out together in the morning.
That's really all so far its been kinda hectic. I'll have more next week!
