"The scriptures are the best. There is so much in there I never even realized! "......Week 80

G'day!

So this week was awesome! We had 2 baptisms this Saturday.  Julie from China and Stephanie who is married to the Tongan man we found in Eastwood about a month or so ago!

Stephanie has been so cool to work with. She has gained such a strong testimony of the gospel and the teachings of Christ! Her testimony after she was baptized was so amazing. I got to baptize her and it was almost a disaster haha.  The first time her feet shot out and I was trying to get her under the water as she was trying to stand up and so I think she felt like I was trying to drown her haha.  Eventually I let her back up and we reset then it all went smoothly the second time:)

Julie I got to baptize as well and it was another funny one because she is terrified of water. She had never been completely under water in her whole life (she is 40) so as I started to lean her back she let out a yelp but I got her under and back up alright haha:)

We were able to find heaps of people this week to teach! We have had some cool experiences helping people understand truth. We are teaching a man named Patrick right now from china. He is progressing so fast and loves learning about God. It's so cool to see all these people from China who are so ready to hear the gospel.  It makes me excited for the day when China will be open to full time missionaries!

So I will not be transferred!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I'm pretty pumped to stay here. My new companion will be Elder Bartlett.  He is from Texas and is a Korean speaking missionary!

Everything is going great, missionary life is still the best life. I have 4 more transfers to give my all in this work. I'm the happiest I have ever been in my life. I never expected all the fun and joy and hardship that would come with a mission but it's awesome:)

My studies have been going great and I feel like I am learning something new and more amazing about the gospel everyday.  The scriptures are the best. There is so much in there I never even realized!

I know this Gospel is true, that it was restored in these last days and I'm so thankful for it.

Have an awesome week:)

"....I will see if I stay or go!".....Week 79

Hey!

This week was great, Not much to write about though! Our investigators are doing great. Sarah is fitting in perfect with the ward! One really cool thing is the other day we were walking to the park for our lesson and she said she had something to tell us. She said she had talked to bishop for a long time and that she has decided to serve a mission! So she is saving up right now and plans on leaving at the end of next year! I'm so excited for her, she wants to go to America haha:)

Stephanie is ready to be baptized! She is so excited, she will be baptized  this Saturday. She honestly was prepared for the gospel. We taught all the commandments this week and it turns out she is the only Italian that doesn't drink coffee! She is so funny and so awesome. I'm pretty pumped to see their family sealed in one year!

Julie is doing so great too. The members have really helped to fellowship her into the ward and she will be a solid member:)

Transfer call is this Saturday so I will see if I stay or go!

Love you all!

"It's the best decision I have made so far in my life".......Week 77

G'day Everyone!

So this week has been awesome! It's getting nice and cold as winter is setting in. The work is going great, Our investigators are doing awesome!

Sarah will be baptized this weekend which will be awesome! She is so prepared and ready. She is smashing through the Book of Mormon and is already helping us teach other people! She has fought through heaps of trials and knows that this is what she wants.

Stephanie will be baptized next week and she is amazing. Their family is drawing closer and closer as they focus more on the gospel.

We found a man named Peter on Friday at a bus stop. We talked to him for about a minute then he had to go. We texted him and met up yesterday and he was so awesome. He told us about a spiritual experience he had that he had never told anyone because it was not accepted in China. He was so interested in building his own relationship with God and learning how the Spirit speaks to him. We taught him the restoration and he committed to be baptized on June 11th! He is super keen and was so excited to read the Book of Mormon!

The mission is awesome. It's the best decision I have made so far in my life. This gospel is true. And I love it!
