"We barley made it out of there alive haha;) "....Week 92

Hello everyone!

This was a good week.  It was my companion's last week in the mission field. He heads out tomorrow morning! I am staying in my area and will train a new zone leader now!

The Pitovao family is still going strong. They love the gospel and are really involved with the ward!

The other night we had dinner with the Tanavasa family for Elder Lelenoas last meal. We literally almost died... Like in Hebersham, you learn to eat a lot of food. But this was A LOT of food. And every time your plate is nearly empty they take it and give you a new plate full of food. My comp and I were just looking at each other and wincing as we put each bite in our mouth. It was really good though. Finally we finished all the food and we stood up and we said that we would have to head out. They said "Oh of course, just right after you eat your dessert." Then she went into the kitchen and came out with 2 plates full of dessert.... they sat us down and said eat.... there was no question that we were not leaving that house til all the food was gone. When we finally got out of there we were moaning all they way to our next appointment. And as we arrived we knocked on the door, they let us in. This was the Neemia family. They live right across the road from KFC which is always dangerous. As we were sitting there talking I saw the husband call his 12 year old son over. And then he slipped a 50 into his son's hand and said some things in Samoan. The only part I could understand was kfc... my comp and I looked at each other and were like- oh no what are we gonna do. Before we could stop him the little boy was out the door and running to kfc. 5 minutes later a giant feast from kfc was placed before us and Brother Neemia (who is a massive 6 foot 5 man) said elders eat... and pointed at the food haha. We barley made it out of there alive haha;)

The funny thing is that that is a weekly occurrence here. Its pretty much impossible to stay skinny haha:)

We have some cool new investigators we will start teaching this week so I will let you know how it goes!

Love you all heaps!
